Description

Five 17th cent. carved oak panels mounted on an attractive nineteenth cent. box which was specifically made to take the panels.The panels depict various scenes including symbols of fecundity,Susannah, the circumcision,symbols of the sea etc.
This is a rare item for the collector.
Box measures 13"(33cms)wide x 12"(30cms)high x 10.5"(27cms) deep.
Carved panels.3 at 5.5"(14cms),1 at 4"(10cms)x5"(15cms) and 1 at 4.75"(12cms)x5.5"(14cms).
