Offered for sale is this good set of eight oak stained Jacobean style dining chairs consisting of six single and two carver chairs. The chairs have a carved and shaped back rail with bergere cane back panels and barley twist supports with turned finials above newly reupholstered overstuffed seats covered in a neutral cream and gold fabric. The front legs are united by a barley twist stretcher. This good set of eight dining chairs date from about 1900 -1920 are a mellow medium oak colour. The carving is very detailed and crisp and the cane panels in good condition. The chairs have been cleaned, revived and waxed and are in excellent showroom condition with all joints firm and seats newly reupholstered, they retain their original patination. see our other listings for a carved oak table to go with these chairs.
