Offered for sale is this superb set of eight 1900 - 1920's oak stained Jacobean style dining chairs consisting of six single and two carver chairs. The chairs have carved backs with barley twist uprights and oval cane panel backs above overstuffed seats on barley twist supports with carved central stretcher. The chairs are of excellent quality with crisp detailed carving and the wood has a fine patina with good colour that has to be seen to be appreciated. The overstuffed seats have been newly reupholstered in a neutral cream and gold fabric and the cane panels are in superb condition . This good set of eight oak dining chairs date from about 1900 - 1920 and have been cleaned, revived and waxed and are in excellent showroom condition with all joints firm and seats newly reupholstered.
