Offered for sale is this superb set of eight Victorian mahogany spoon back dining chairs by James Reilly of Manchester and dating to about 1865. The chairs are a lovely medium brown mellow mahogany colour. The set of eight mahogany balloon back chairs have a crown shaped back rail with a centre splat carved in the shape of a horse shoe above Trafalgar seats newly reupholstered in a neutral cream and gold fabric on cabriole supports with scroll feet. The chairs are stamped with the makers name " James Reilly ", a 19th century chair maker who produced high quality chairs. The set of eight antique mahogany dining chairs are in excellent showroom condition with all joints firm and have been cleaned, revived and waxed.
