Offered for sale is this good set of four Victorian rosewood balloon back dining chairs. The chairs are a lovely varied rich brown colour that would go equally well with a mahogany or rosewood table.. The set of four Victorian rosewood balloon back chairs have a shaped back rail above a carved centre rail with newly reupholstered overstuffed seats onturned cabriole supports. The balloon back chairs are in superb condition with all joints firm, they are in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned, revived and waxed along with the seats reupholstered in a neutral cream and gold fabric. The beech rails have evidence of old woodworm, this has been treated and in no way affects the integrity of the chairs ( most Victorian balloon backs have worm in the beech rails) just adding to the character of the chairs. The rosewood has no woodworm.
