Offered for sale is this superb quality set of eight late Victorian arts and crafts oak dining chairs consisting of eight single chairs. This good set of chairs date from about 1890 and are of exceptionally good quality and good colour - golden oak. The chairs have a makers plate attached to the underside "Hampton & Sons Ltd., Pall Mall East, London " - a sign of quality. The chairs have square shaped backs with carved styilised flowers/trees ? above overstuffed seats reupholstered in a compementary John Lewis fabric and stand on square tapered reeded supports.The chairs are in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned revived and polished with all joints firm and the seats reupholstered in a John Lewis fabric. We have been dealing in dining suites for in excess of 25 years and have sold over 1000 sets of chairs and hundreds of dining tables to satisfied customers.
