Description

FINE Regency Scottish, Edinburgh made, inlayed rosewood card table. Very typical Scottish Edinburgh design from the early 19th century. High quality table, all veneered on mahogany with solid rosewood turned columns. The table is beautifully inlaid to the base with satin birch with boxwood line inlays to the legs. The legs terminating with their original brass claw castors. The top is cross banded with both satin birch and rosewood with a boxwood line around the edge. The table stands really well, I particularly like the high legs. The table is in very good original, un-touched condition with no breaks or repairs and is a very pleasing mellow colour for rosewood. The green baize inside is a wee bit tatty in places and could be replaced if required and there is a small 1" piece of boxwood stringing missing on the right hand corner which will be repaired before sending out.

Altogether a very nice piece of early 19th century Scottish furniture which is as practical now as the day it was made.
