Description

Superb early 19th century Georgian Scottish mahogany hanging glazed corner cabinet. As far as corner cabinets go this is a cracker. Beautiful design to the door with the curved glazing bars all with boxwood line inlay to the centres and the best of mahogany used. Various boxwood and ebony line inlays. Nice shape bottom moulding and top cornice moulding. The door with original lock with working key. All the glass is original but there is one crack. The inside of the cabinet has been very nicely finished with both paint and lined paper. The corner cabinet is a lovely colour with original patination and waxed finish.

You could have the pane replaced that has the crack if required but it is not noticeable in most lights.

Was origianlly sold for £1250 in 1996.

SIZE 20" across the front. 44" high. A maximum at the top of 22" square.
