Description

Early to mid 19th century highly decorative "Country House" carved giltwood wall mirror. Basically square fame with oval mirror plate. Very nice design and beautifully carved throughout. The mirror plate looks original to me with slight foxing but nothing serious. Original gilding but could do with a slight clean. The mirror is basically in very good condiiton, there are a couple of minor chips in places and some loss of gilding but nothing serious. The central back boards have been later re-placed in Edwardian times with plywood but this could be reversed with contempory pine back boards if required.

SIZE 26" square by 4 1/2" deep. The mirror plate is 19 1/2" by 15"
