Description

Late 19th century handpainted enamel box,c1870. Features a handpainted enamel scene on the lid and base of period costumed ladies and gentlemen with musical instruments. Inside the box there is a handpainted enamel scene on the underneath of the lid of a water scene and in the interior of the box a handpainted enamel scene of a countryside setting. The outside of the box features handpainted enamel forget me nots flowers and a gilt metal mount engraved with scrolls.
