19th century Quimper French fiance water fountain.The top of the fountain features a clam shell with two water serpents on either side.Below on the main body of the fountain there is a hand painted scene of two French countrymen playing musical instruments against a country scene background.On the lower part of the fountain there is a lion's head which the tongue acts as a stopper for the release of water.In very good condition,some slight wear on the edges due to age,but no major damage or restoration.Height - 42.5cm.Width - 20cm.Depth - 15cm. cab58
