Description

Here we have a handsome Early 20th Century Silver Plate Punch Bowl. The bowl is of a substantial size with a reeded domed base and part reeded body. The upper part of the body is embossed with floral swags and there are lion mask handles on each side. The top rim is gadrooned.

There is no makers' mark on the punch bowl so we cannot say who it was manufactured by but it is English and dates to somewhere between the early 1920s and the early 1950s.

Condition is extremely good, with no dings or dents, no significant plate loss and just the superficial surface wear that has to be anticipated with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

This is a very large punch bowl measuring 32cm / 12.6ins in diameter and standing 20.2cm / 7.9ins high. It weighs a hefty 2.6kg / 91.5oz.

The underside is stamped SILVER ON COPPER and MADE IN ENGLAND, giving us a date after 1921, when Made In England became compulsory for exports.

Shipping in the UK is £26.00 by Royal Mail Special Delivery, which includes cover for the value and weight of the punch bowl.
Overseas customers, please ask us about shipping costs to your country before making a purchase.
