Description

This is a smart Mid-Century Pewter One Pint Tankard in the shape of a barrel. The tankard bellies out between two ribbed lines at top and bottom representing the bands of the barrel. The handle is c-shaped with a flattened top.

The tankard was made in England by Old Country Rose Pewter, a firm that was active in Sheffield during the 1950s and 1960s.

Condition is good, with just one small shallow bruise to the body plus the superficial surface wear that you would anticipate with use and the passage of time.

The tankard has a 568ml / 1 pint capacity. It measures 11cm / 4.3ins from rim to handle, 8.7cm / 3.4ins across the body and stands 9.8cm / 3.8ins high. It weighs 407g /14.3oz.

The underside of the base is stamped Old Country Rose Pewter and Made In England.
