Description

This is an elegant Pair of Early 20th Century Silver Plate Salt & Pepper Shakers. The bodies are blue glass and sit inside cylindrical pierced silver plate holders in the Georgian revival style. The screw tops are silver plated, one with larger holes for salt and the other with smaller holes for ground pepper.

There is no makers' mark on the shakers, so we cannot say who made them but they are British and date to between around 1900 and 1920.

Condition is very good, with no chips or cracks in the glass, no dings or dents in the silver plate, no significant plate loss and just the superficial surface wear that has to be expected with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.

Each shaker is 5cm / 1.9ins high and 2.6cm / 1in in diameter. The pair together weigh 53.7g / 1.9oz.

Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
