An original luxury Italian serving tray by Sambonet. This is an Italian company of exceptional pedigree, been around since 1856 and been at the forefront of cutlery and service products ever since with such collaborations as Gio Ponti, one of the fathers of Italian design.

This extra large serving tray was presented as a gift in 1972 and has never been used, it is 50 years old and never seen service, its chic and ready to use and offered at a great price when compared to an equivalent large tray from this producer. It is in the Bamboo pattern. It still has its original dust bag, and cardboard slip case (the outer slip case is not perfect but still serviceable). Sambonet serving trays are of the highest quality, they have this unique mirror finish, and the 1970's saw a number of incredibly stylish decorative designs, this is bamboo and others are in a similar vein, ferns etc.

Size: this is a large tray, width is 37.5 cm and length 51 cm the tray area is 37 cm by 24.5 cm the tray is 2 cm.
