Buchanan and Laing (Prima Finds)

Description

This is a very good quality item, an oblong trivet or kettle/pot stand dating to the latter part of the 19th century, it has a pierced platform, with folded edges and is supported at the four corners with baluster turned brass legs. It is in excellent condition and doesn't have any of the usual bends associated with this practical kitchen / fireside item. It is a good size and made from substantial gauge cast brass, the legs are solid and well fixed as well as straight and level.

It is as useful today as it ever was and these make great additions to kitchen décor.
