Description: Antique white statuary marble sculpture depicting the Feast of the Cupids, signed "Clodion 1738-1814," dating back to the early 19th century.

The composition depicts a lively scene with three cupids competing for bunches of grapes.

The playful atmosphere is enhanced by the dynamic poses, the intertwined bodies, and the grimaces of the three young protagonists.

Clodion's technical skill culminates in the rendering of the bodies, particularly in the delicacy with which he treats the material, making the cupids' flesh appear incredibly soft.
