Description: Antique Napoleon III French writing desk in fine exotic wood with finely chiseled gilt bronze applications.

The top features a chiseled leather covering surrounded by a gilt bronze border.

The front is punctuated by two drawers embellished with gilt bronze leaf-motif handles and keyholes.

The four corners are adorned with large half-length female figures, typical of the period.

The sides, like the front, are bordered with bronze leaf-motif profiles.

The opposite side mirrors the main one.

The interior is made of oak.

Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional shellac and alcohol method.

Origin: 19th century France.
