16thc burgonet. Two piece skull with hinged cheek pieces, the rivets have pewter rosettes. There is a plume holder to the rear of the comb with ostrich feathers.The leather straps are probably later replacements, given the age.Date16th Century :

ConditionSome losses and old repairs, some light rust. One of the cheek pieces is held in with wire as the pin is loose.
