Description

A delightful rosewood Tunbridge ware writing slope by Henry Hollamby, circa 1870. Complete with original mosic topped ink bottle's. The cental mosaic image depicts Battle Abbey Gatehouse, which is surmounted by a geometric design and then both are surrounded with a border of flowers.The top flap lifts to reveal the ink wells and little compartments, one of which is has a mosaic lid. The other flap lifts out to reveal an embossed velvet writing slope.The top flap lifts to reveal a compartment beneath.
