Description

Antique Oak & Brass Large Harvest Costrel.
This is a large coopered costrel / firkin / barrel / bevy & was used for taking additional cider down to the fields during harvest time when extra help was required to get the harvest in.
This was made for a wealthy landowner as the majority were Iron bound to keep costs down.
The brass hoops are fixed with copper rivets.
Condition is very good for age, historic woodworm as one should expect with an item of this age.
This could be used as a quirky wine table.
Size height 34 cm. ends are 18.50 cm by 19.50 cm & 20 cm by 19 cm.
