Lovely quality large and heavy brass double inkwell by James Cartland & Sons of Birmingham, ornately decorative with pierced details to the stand and what we believe are moths on both sides, the central storage well with a tortoise to the lid, a very unusual piece indeed !With normal minimal marks etc commensurate with age and use and some damage to one inkwell ( not immediately obvious ) but overall, this super inkwell is in good condition.
