Alfred Cox Mid Century walnut Sideboard made & designed by Alfred cox circa 1954
The sideboard has a tambour door drinks compartment to the centre and doors either side with shelved cupboards and 3 inline drawers with cone shape handles one drawer fitted for cutlery
The vintage walnut veneers have mellowed over time to a lovely light honey colour and grain
the sideboard has lots of good storage and is a nice small size ideal size for smaller rooms / small apartments with its use of a tambour door it is a somewhat unusual design by Alfred cox it has the A Cox makers plates and was designed and made by Alfred Cox workshops circa 1954

Alfred cox furniture was highly thought of being made for the top end of the furniture market
it was hand made by craftsmen and was sold through quality UK department stores such as heals and Harrods throughout the 1950s 1960s.
