Alfred Cox vintage 1950s 60s dressing table for Heals of London iconic mid century modern 1950s 60s dressing table in light coloured walnut veneers designed and made by the 1950s 1960s british designer/furniture maker Alfred CoxAlfred Cox hand crafted furniture was retailed through Heals and other quality UK department stores thoughout the 50s 60s periods.
The Dressing Table is in light honey coloured walnut all the drawers with dovetail joints drawers sides and drawer bottoms in solid hardwood with 3 narrow top drawers and 2 deep drawers with original metal handles,the triple mirrors are Alfred Cox patented multi postional mirrors each mirror being able adjust into many positions the mirrors are clear and bright.
A lovely example of a nice vintage iconic 1950s60s dressing table one owner from new.
Heals and other uk department stores retailed alfred cox bedroom furniture through out the 50s and 60s periods.
The maker alfred cox produced high quality hand crafted bedroom furniture his designs and quality of craftmanship was highly thought of and still is today cox furniture is still desired today for its style and quality of craftmanship.
The dressing table could also double as a very styish modernist ladies writing desk just by removing the triple mirrors.
