High quality 19th c victorian antique 16 inch cast & gilded bronze corinthian column oil lamp base with lions paw feet

stunning quality corinthian column oil lamp base. Now wired for use as a electric table lamp. Having high quality casting to the cast & gilded bronze ,the corinthian column lamp base being lifted from the normal 19th c column lamps by having wonderful cast lions paw feet to each corner of the base. The base still retaining its original cast iron weight

this large corinthian column oil lamp base is approx 16 inches high the base is approx 7 1/4 inches across by 7 1/4 inches across the lions paw feet. The corinthian column base has been converted a long time ago to accept a electric lamp flex the cast iron weighted base has had a hole drilled to take the wire flex this though has caused no damage to the corinthian column oil lamp base its self, it being untouched the wire being inside the hollow column so it can be reused with confidence as a oil lamp base with no problems still having its threaded well for a oil lamp font once the brass bulb holder has been removed ,
