Description

A small, very pretty, Edwardian period, inlaid mahogany overmantel mirror, this is surmounted by a classical broken pediment. The inset panels are decorated with traditional Sheraton style inlay, other surfaces being highlighted with boxwood inlay. There are five separate mirrors surrounding three shaped shelves, the larger bottom shelf is supported by a pair of finely turned columns, these shelves are very suitable for displaying small ornaments. This overmantel is in good strong condition with its fine old original colour and polished surface. Sizes: 32”(82cms) wide, 5 ¼ “(13 ½ cms) deep, 39 ½ “(100 cms) high. Date circa 1910
I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book. I have therefore made considerable reductions to the prices of most of my stock. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if any items are of interest. Deliveries carried at as normal. If I can be of any help please do not hesitate to contact me.
I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
I hope this is reflected by my commitment to a very high quality of service which I have always given over the years. I prefer to deliver sold items in person where possible to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
