An unusual and very handsome large ceramic/terracotta figure of a strongman dating from the Art Deco era, c 1930's. Mounted on a mahogany plinth. Unsigned.

The beautifully detailed figure with naked torso, is straining to move a huge rock. The sculptor has captured the musculature and the folds of his clothing in superb detail.

A unique piece which has survived in excellent condition.

Base ~ 700mm x 198mm, height ~ 350mm.

Due to the fragile nature of this piece, we would prefer collection or hand-delivery (for fuel cost). Buyer may arrange courier to pack and ship at their own risk.
