Description

A (silk?) bound folder of 10 mounted black and white Chinese photographs of the Chinese Imperial family etc believed to date from ~ 1910.

Photographs include the dowager Empress Cixi, the last Emperor Puyi as a small child, the court eunuchs and various others....one apparently of a concubine who was subsequently executed.

We are informed the originals are in a U.S. museum (The Smithsonian?)
We don't have much more information than this (if anyone else does, we would be pleased to hear from you).

Condition is very good commensurate with age, with just some slight fading. Size ~ 163 x 112mm

Photos of 4 of the 10 pictures are attached, copies of the other 6 can be provided on request.

A really unusual item which has survived well for the last ~100 years!
