Porcelain Mantle Clock

DescriptionVictorian porcelain cased mantle clock with an eight day striking movement. The porcelain case is continental in manufacture and is in a colour and style similar to Royal Worcester. The clock is decorated with flowers and highlighted with gilt. The clock face has two keyholes, one for the timing mechanism and one for the strike mechanism. The dial is off white in colour with roman numerals around the outside and a circular brass glazed door with bevelled glass. The back of the clock has a circular pierced brass door concealing the works and comes complete with its own brass winding key. As with all our clocks, this item comes with a one year guarantee of the works and is in very good condition. (Circa 1870)
