French Marble Mantle Clock

Description19th Century French marble mantle clock with an eight day movement, striking the hour and half hour on a bell.

The clock has a silverized dial with Roman numerals and a circular glazed door with a bronze serpent bezel. The coloured and grained marble case has bronze feet, a frieze top and bottom and a bust of a 'Greek Philosopher'. The clock is in full working order and comes with a key. The back of the works are stamped "I.B".

The clock is in good condition with only very minor nicks to the marble. The works have been over hauled and come with a one year guarantee. (Circa 1840)
