A magnificent 16th century chesnut Serving table with fantastic colour and patina.

Single plank top that is 1.5" thick that is dovetailed to the base ,over square cut baluster legs with central knop.

United by large box stretcher.

Pegged construction and as i say the top secured with four dovetails.

This is a pleasing table with great structure,there is a single end trestle table at haddon hall seat of the manners family in derbyshire with a similar leg and a withdrawing table again similar legs that sold in the sothebys rous lench sale 03/07/1986 that sold for £5500.00.

In good solid condition .
