William Walcot signed etching The Forth Edinburgh
A signed, black and white drypoint etching by William Walcot ,RE, RBA (1874-1943). It bears the original label on the reverse 'The Forth'.
Walcot was a watercolourist, draughtsman and etcher of architectural views. Born in Russia (his father was English and his mother was Russian), he studied architecture at St. Petersburg and, after further studies in Paris, practised for a few years in Moscow.
