A John Whitehurst of Derby brass dialed hook and spike wall antique clock that is numbered 6160. Whitehurst is famous maker from Derby and employed many makers ans apprentices. Their clock are of a high standard and sought after by collectors.
Many of his hook and spike antique clocks are of 6inch diameter with an alarm and 30 hour running but this example is 8inches and strikes the hours and runs for 8 days making it a more collected item.
Both dial and movement are in very fine condition making it a desirable item.
