Welsh Fusee Bracket Clock by Hennessy, Swansea
A good quality Welsh Victorian twin fusee bracket mantel antique clock. A mahogany case with well detailed floral carving. Bevelled glass side panels and sound fretted back door panel. A cast brass bezel with bevelled glass to the dial with blued steel hands. A double fusee mechanism of 8-day duration striking the hours on a gong.
Bernard Hennessy worked at Wind Street in Swansea from 1841-1875. He is noted in Peates 'Clockmakers in Wales' book as a contractor to the admiralty.
