A rare powder compact by Wadsworth 'Parker Pen' in the form of a ladies vanity table/dressing table. The lid has a mirror top with fleur de lys decoration accented with loops. It opens to show a mirror inside the lid and the powder well. The lid of the powder well has 'Parker Pen, Wadsworth, Made in Canada' etched on the lid. The bowed vanity table legs fold down so that it can be carried in your purse or bag. This super stylish compact was made in the 1950's. This is a lovely example of what is known as a novelty powder compact.

This super compact is in great condition. The mirror on the upper part of the lid has a couple of tiny age related black spots. Inside the mirror has a little silvering to the centre but this doesn't impact on the useage or obscure your image. The gold tone body has some light surface scratches. Please note there is a deeper scratch on the surface of the powder well lid under the Wadsworth name. The compact opens with a good click and closes with a firm click. The powder well closes with a firm click. The bow legs fold out easily and secure with a click.
