A Very Good Quality Early to Mid-20th Century Still Life Oil Painting.

Yellow, red and white roses are depicted in what seems to be a heavy, glass vase.

Oil on Canvas, painted using the impasto technique of very thickly layered oils, worked wet into wet....and probably completed in one standing.

Confidently executed, the application of the paint is skilful, spontaneous and well-considered, with amazing colour and surface qualities throughout.

Unfortunately this piece is unsigned.

It has been painted on to a period / vintage 'Reeves' branded canvas.

A really lovely work.
