Vintage Aldis Star slide projector - upgraded to LED
Aldis Star projector
A genuine 1950s slide projector refurbished with a powerful LED light source. Fully working, rewired and PAT tested.
The LED light engine makes it safe and cheap to run.
This is probably the classic slide projector of all time. People of a certain age will remember them in school or college. They were made from high quality aluminium alloy, with Aldis lenses.
The projector has been fully rewired, with fabric covered flex and an in-line switch. It has been PAT tested. Dimensions length=35cm x width=20cm x height=28cm (all approx).
The new light source is a modern, cool running LED light engine. It's rated at around 11 Watts.
It will run cool and cost very little to use.
They're electric antiques!
Because of their historical value, we keep the projectors as original as possible.
We repair them and touch up the paintwork rather than trying to make them look like new.
The original lenses are retained, and the projector is still a collectable antique.
Here’s what we do:
● The old wiring, bulb and bulb holder are removed.
● Any repairs needed are done.
● The paintwork is cleaned with repainting where needed.
● The projector is rewired.
● We install a new bulb holder and low energy LED bulb.
● A new power lead with UK plug is provided.
● All projectors are safety inspected before leaving.
