This is a beautiful vintage powder compact from the mid 1930's, the brass case is marked "Grossmith - Old Cottage Lavender", measuring c. 2" inch diameter, it has a wonderful celluloid top depicting a lady picking lavender in the garden. Clasps and hinges are sound, opening to reveal a small period puff, a convex mirror which is clear, but shows age related marks to the outer edges, inside is also a godette. All in all a great vintage piece, pre-loved and aged, but in a condition that I know will not disappoint.
