A wonderfully made tiny Beechwood and steel thumb or hollowing out plane used by Luthiers to carve the very intricate interiors of violins.
This particular violin plane was made / retailed by Dobie, Ironmongers, 205 Argyle St., Glasgow, Scotland in the 19th century.

Size. 7.5cm x 3.5cm x 8cm H inc. blade Pareglio & Ayres Antiques Interiors, located in Kent UK and with a base in Italy just under an hour from Milan.
