A superb Victorian period chess top table. Of fine construction in solid rosewood with attractive rosewood veneers. The shaped top is inset with a chess/games board in rosewood and birds eye maple. It is embellished with charming "acorn" drops which hang beneath the table top. The column is of a striking open barley twist form, Victorian craftsmanship at its finest. The triform scrolling legs have carved detailing to their knees. This delightful and practical table is offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
