Victorian Oval Framed Coloured Engraving
Artist - After the Thomas Burke (1749-1815) engraving, which was after the original by William Redmore Bigg (1755-1828).
Title - Saturday Morning: Favourite Chickens Going to Market
Details - Hand-coloured engraving. It has been cut to an oval shape and has no publisher's details. We believe it to be a Victorian reproduction of a Georgian engraving. Glazed and framed in an oval Victorian gilt-frame. The glass has an integral black mount.
Condition - Overall in fair condition. The print has been cut to an oval shape and is discoloured (it is much brighter underneath the mount). The glass has uneven edges. The frame has some scuffing and wear as might be expected.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Visible Image Size (oval) - 50cm by 37cm
Frame (oval) - 63cm by 51cm, 3cm deep. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
