Victorian Oileograph Of Working Boy Smoking C1873
A very detailed early Oileograph on card and under glass, depicting a young 19th century working boy taking a rest on an old pine chest, and pondering whilst smoking a large well earn't cigar.
Nicely complemented in an oak hand made frame of the period C1873,and finished with a gold leafed picture slip and protected under an original piece of early glass.
MEASUREMENTS
Height 19 Inches
Width 16 Inches
The original pcture was painted by artist J.G.Brown
in 1873.
The picture looks like a realistic oil painting, having grain and texture, and is in good condition.
The smoke from the boys cigar is very realistic and had me looking closer with a good magnifying glass to see if this picture was actually hand painted.
