Victorian Mother Of Pearl & Abalone Card Case antique 19th century visiting %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A pretty late 19th century visiting card case with diamond panels of mother of pearl and abalone on both side and mother of pearl down the edges. Hinged opening and lined with blue velvet. A small cartouche along the top edge. c.1880

It measures 10.5cm (4 1/8") high by 8cm (3 1/8") wide and 1cm (3/8") deep.

Condition: overall good but with a small loss on one side next to the hinge and to the tips of the corners of the mother of pearl on the edge abutting the hinge. Some of the bone slip on the inside of the cover is missing along with the top part of the catch so it doesn't click shut. The hinge is good so it stays closed and it can still be used and the other panels are all fine and have a good colour. The cartouche is plated and this has started to fade.
Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.

Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
