Thomas Tayler Ireland Fl.1880-1921 Watercolour
We are pleased to offer for sale this large watercolour by the artist THOMAS TAYLER IRELAND, who has signed the painting Tayler Ireland in the lower left hand corner. The painting depicts a misty autumnal landscape, with a fisherman seating by a small stream, fishing.
THOMAS TAYLER IRELAND was the son of Thomas Ireland and lived at the same address in London. Thomas Junior, was a landscape painter in both oil and watercolour in a style not dissimilar to that of his father, and he specialised in misty, wooded landscapes using a similar colour palette to that of the painting we are offering. He exhibited at the principal London galleries from 1880, mainly at the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour and Suffolk Street.
