A superb Kutani charger, signed to the back, in overall excellent condition.

Kutani porcelain, or Kutaniyaki, originates from the Kutani village in the Kaga Province, which is now part of Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture, in Japan. The name "Kutani" translates to "Nine Valleys," referring to the region's landscape. While the name implies a specific location, Kutani ware is now produced in various cities within the Ishikawa Prefecture, including Kanazawa, Komatsu, Kaga, and Nomi.
