CAPPED WITH PERIOD CAST GILDED FINIALS,SWAN NECK PEDIMENT ABOVE VERRE EGLOMISE GILDEED GLASS PANELS, ARCHED MAHOGANY DOOR WITH REEDED PILLARS AND REAR HALF COLUMNS,THE DIAL BEAUTIFULLY ENGRAVED WITH MARITIME SCENE, FOLIATE & ASTRONOMICAL FEATURES, PAINTED MOON PHASE WITH MOST UNUSUAL AND CHARMING INSCRIPTION ABOVE IN CELEBRATION OF SIR ISAAC NEWTON,

THE INSCRIPTION READS
'Behold the moon her beautious charms displays,
Which makes the world with wonder on her gaze,
Her course to know the atients could not find,
Till Newton shewd it by his god like mind.

THE CASE WITH BLIND FRET(OLD REPAIR)ABOVE LONG FIGURED MAHOGANY BOOKMATCHED DOOR ON OAK, REEDED QUARTER COLUMNS EITHER SIDE ABOVE CANTERED BASE WITH APPLIED SHAPED PANEL, STOOD ON SHAPED OGEE FEET.
