A rather fine and original regulator longcase clock. Made for a domestic house, this antique clock has an an accurate and finely made movement, incorporating a centre sweep seconds hand, a dead beat pin wheel escapement and maintaining power on the going train. The solid mahogany case is of typical Scottish Regency form having a dome hood, 1/4 side columns, a figured door and bracket feet. The 8 day movement sounds the hours on a bell and was made by John Webster of Edinburgh, who is listed as working in Edinburgh 1826-1869.

Current Condition
The case is in excellent original condition, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.

48.00cm wide 200.00cm high 23.00cm deep (18.90 inches wide 78.74 inches high 9.06 inches deep) We have been established since 1978, dealing in and restoring most antiques, specialising in clocks and furniture. We have our own workshops where we carry out specialist restoration work.-
