The lid is exquisitely beautiful - complex guilloche engraving & bright-cut details which shimmer in the light. It is fully hallmarked high grade .900 silver on the lid, mirror bezel & base. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The bevelled mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. The interior is also delightfully pretty with engravings surrounding the mirror & powder well. The base is decorated with an attractive engine turned design of vertical lines & tiny chevrons. This solid silver compact measures 3 1/2" & it weighs 124.5 grams.
