Shakespeare's Dramatic Works, Stockdale 1790 3 Vol
Shakespeare's Dramatic Works with Explanatory Notes. A New Edition. To Which is now Added, a Copious Index to the Remarkable Passages and Words. By the Rev. Samuel Ayscough, F.S.A. and Assistant Librarian of the British Museum. Embellished with a Striking Likeness of Shakespeare, From the Original Folio Edition.
Complete in 3 volumes. Printed for John Stockdale, 1790. Original leather bindings.
Overall in fair condition and in need of repair. The original leather bindings are fragile and damaged with significant scuffing and wear. The front board of the first volume is detached and the front endpaper is loose. The front volume of the second board is only basically attached. There are some holes in the spines of some of the volumes. Internally the pages are tanned with some scattered foxing and discolouration, but they volumes are overall very clean internally considering their age. The books would benefit from having their bindings conserved and repaired. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
