Architect Edward Oakley's Original Rejected Designs for a Bridge to Cross the River Thames from Blackfriars to Southwark dated 1756 and submitted to the The Rt. Hon.Slingsby Bethell Esq., Lord Mayor to the Worshipful Court of Aldermen & Common Council of the City of London. At the bottom of the designs are listings of other bridges designed by Oakley,including Westminster Bridge completed 18th November 1750.
The design is mounted onto a cream board.
